SIN CAN STOP ANSWERS TO YOUR PRAYERS
If thou had cherished iniquity in heart, the Lord would not have listened (Ps 66:18)
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Isaiah 14-16; Mark 4:21-41
Are you praying for blessing of a job, promotion or success in any endeavour? Cindi Mcmenamin says, "If there is an unconfessed sin in your life, it could be affecting your relationship with God and affecting His handout of blessing. God cherishes relationship. So, if He is not blessing you, perhaps the relationship is strained through disobedience in your life or habitual sin that you are not surrendering to Him.
In a devotional piece, Pastor Greg Laurie wrote, "If you have anger, bitterness and unforgiveness in your heart towards someone else or you hold a grudge, it can hinder your prayers from being answered because those things are sinful and they separate you from God. Sin separates us from God. It creates a barrier between us and Him and so it hinders prayers. It breaks the communication link between us and God.
"O, fear the Lord, ye His saints: for there is no want to them that fear Him" (Ps 34:9). Take a stand to part ways with that habitual sin in your life so as to make way for your blessings
If you are captivated by sin, you will become a captive to frustration.
Lord, help me to always confess my sins when I derail without delay.
