"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called"
To 'walk'means to move with your legs at a speed that is slower than running. However, the Bible describes the Christian's actions, life and activities here on earth as a 'walk'. A 'walk is a planned action, so is the Christian's practice of a daily walk with Christ. To do the will of God in all things is the work or vocation which Christ has called us to.
This is the worthy walk. To walk worthy of your vocation (Christian life) is to choose to live godly and righteously. A worthy walk demands that you:
A—Abstain from all appearances of evil.
W— Watch your words, ways and where you go.
0—Obey God's word without murmuring.
R — Read your Bible everyday.
T— Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
H — Humble yourself in the sight of God.
Y — Yield not to temptation.
W— Win others to Christ by your godly example and speech.
A— Associate with boys and girls who love Jesus.
L — Love the Lord with all your heart, soul and might.
K - Keep the unity of the Spirit in the atmosphere of peace.
Prayer:Lord, help me to live a life pleasing to You all the days of my life.
