Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee"
Children make friends easily. They play with their friends and have special ways of calling themselves names like Tom, Sam, Jerry, Chichi etc. They tell stories to their friends. They are fond of telling stories about happenings in their neighbourhood, schools or stories from story books, stories about animals like the lion, tortoise, the cock, the bull and others.
There is a story that many children do not tell often, yet it is the sweetest and best of all stories. They do not tell the story of Jesus and His love. They do not talk about how Jesus saved them, healed them, delivered and blessed them. In the Bible, Jesus healed many people with different kind of sicknesses and diseases. He healed the leper, raised the dead and walk upon the sea. Jesus cast out the devil from a demon-possessed man, who was mad. The man became healed immediately. The man wanted to follow Jesus about to wherever He was going. But Jesus said that he should go home and tell his friends the great thing God had done for him. He was to go and tell them his story of deliverance.
If Jesus has saved, healed or delivered you, then go tell the story of His love to your friends. Tell them about Jesus who is mighty to save.
Prayer: Oh God, give me the boldness to tell my friends the good things you have done for me.
